Abstract

The article examines the Buddhist model of consciousness, so as the elements and forces which make up the flow of the personality according to the abhidharma Buddhist tradition. There are two general aspects of the stream of consciousness. Processing-temporal aspect which supports the act of awareness and self-awareness, and substantive-spatial aspect which maintains the contents of the stream of consciousness. The links between the elements of the personality disappear in the act of death. The flow also decays. What remains are the «schemes» of the configurations which can be reborn. They will form the basis of the new creature, or the opportunity of it creation
